Zambia Immersion Project 2025
Project coordinators 2024/25: Conor Byrne, Christine Martin, Emma Goff & Steven McMahon.
Following on from our very successful Immersion Project in summer 2023 and in keeping with our ethos of helping those less fortunate than ourselves, we are currently in the process of organising an Immersion Project to Zambia for the current TY and 5th Year cohorts. This is an exciting opportunity provided to a small group of students who will immerse themselves into a different culture and volunteer in Zambia in June 2025.
Since 2006, our school has taken part in this project. Students and staff have helped hospices, taught and interacted with local students and contributed to the building of a school run by ZAMDA Ireland. This time, students will fundraise throughout the 2024/25 academic year for the continued development of a school called Sables Nua in a developing community in Kabwe, Zambia.
The cohort of students chosen for the 2024/25 project are as follows: Jake Maher, Kacper Jaworiski, Daragh Rogan, Jack O’Neill, Rian Bracken, Aidan Furlong, Calum McGuire, Eoghan Lynch, Tadhg Doyle, Darragh Molloy, Cian McCormack, Geoffrey Barry, Thady Cuddihy, Evan Devereux, Luke Colley & VJ Doyle.
